This bespoke kitchen extension was designed for a growing family looking to create a seamless connection between their indoor and outdoor spaces. The goal was to maximise the footprint of their home and garden, creating one large, open-plan area perfect for modern family living.
We constructed a single-storey rear extension featuring a combination of flat and gable roofing, complemented by elegant four-leaf bifold doors. To enhance the indoor-outdoor flow, matching tiles were laid throughout the interior and exterior spaces, complete with a low profile sill for a clean, cohesive finish.
Natural light was a key design focus, achieved through the installation of roof lights and a domed skylight, flooding the new kitchen area with daylight. A dedicated utility space was also added, improving functionality and helping to streamline everyday family life.
To maintain visual consistency, we spray-painted the existing rear uPVC window frames to match the new anthracite grey frames and doors. The rear elevation of the home was re-rendered with white monocouche render, preparing the property for landscaping and tiling works at the front and side.
The project was completed with the installation of a sleek, modern kitchen featuring a central island — combining style, practicality, and a sociable layout ideal for family gatherings.
